| Nancy and Grandy Nanny is an historical children’s book, which is loosely based on the life of Nanny, Jamaica’s only national heroine. The story revolves around a little girl, Nancy, who is taken back to the 1740’s in the midst of British Colonial rule. There she meets the Maroon Warrior Queen, who offers lessons of courage and faith. Nancy and Grandy Nanny is the first in a series of books which tell the story of amaica’s national heroes, through interactions with children from the present. For ages 8 – 12. |
